22 of 22 people found the following review helpful Truck GPS, March 24, 2011 By This review is from: TeleType 740060 WorldNav7400 High Resolution Truck GPS (Electronics) I am professional driver with semi.
I purchase this gps and had it with me now for couple of weeks.
The screen is large. 7 inch screen shows you a lot more than 5 inch device. I can see further ahead. One of the feature I love most if complete yellow pages of US. Once in a while some addresses I get are not clear and having complete list of businesses helps a lot. Amazing is that I can locate business even by phone number.
Roads that are restricted showing in a different color.
Screen is bright and speakers are loud.
I have not got lost with this GPS and would recommend it to my friends.
11 of 11 people found the following review helpful GPS for Truck, April 3, 2011 By This review is from: TeleType 740060 WorldNav7400 High Resolution Truck GPS (Electronics) WorldNav routes using "truck quickest" option correctly. For truck drivers to have GPS without truck routes is crazy.
I like that WorldNav has night and day modes and can switch between them automatically. This GPS stores tons of Points of Interest and remembers routes that I took in the past.
The updates for WorldNav are done as I learned recently 3 to 4 times per year.
WorldNav is very thin and yet has a very loud speaker that I can even play through my radio. Also it has a Bluetooth that, although I am not crazy about, I use it once in a while.
Most important to me of course that routes a good and I am not getting lost or end up on a road where trucks are not allowed.
6 of 6 people found the following review helpful GPS for Semi, November 21, 2011 By This review is from: TeleType 740060 WorldNav7400 High Resolution Truck GPS (Electronics) WorldNav GPS was given to me by our manager in the company. I used it for couple of weeks and recommended the rest of my company drivers to buy it. Recently WorldNav sent me the latest update and with this version I got latest maps and program that truly I can rely on. Speakers on my gps are loud but one of the drivers in a truck decided to buy amplified speakers. He set them up in a way that he can listen to music and also hear direction voices from GPS.
I drive semi and the most important to me is to get a right route. Before I used different GPS devices and since I got WorldNav I think routes they give are the most reliable. You do have to watch if you miss your exit and get rerouted. Sometime when there is no choice they sent me down to narrow roads but I cannot blame them. I looked at my map later on and the only other choice was to take a detour of over 1 hour.
Here is what I like most
1. Routing for Semi is reliable
2. Lane assist
3. Free... Read more
