Perfect for Mountain Sports!, December 29, 2011 This review is from: Ultega GPS NavCom 400 Multi-Functional Travel and Sports Computer (Sports) I received my Ultega NavCom 400 for Christmas. I currently live in Park City, Utah, so I had to immediately take it out and put it under a battery of tests. And I am here to say that it met or beat all o my expectations,
I love the multitude of functions this computer offers. While skiing, I was able to track both my speeds (in which I learned that I am traveling at much higher speeds than I expected and may need to rethink about wearing a helmet) and also the altitudes of the different peaks. When compared to the recorded elevations, I found the computer to be spot on.
I also took the computer with me snow shoeing and was able to log steps taken and distances traveled. And with the supplied wrist strap, bringing this computer around on an adventure is a breeze.
Once the snow melts, I am excited to attach the NavCom to my bike, which is the main reason I wanted a sports computer. I have not had a chance to play with the software much yet, but from... Read more

This device is perfect for what it's designed to do--it's small enough that it fits like a wristwatch, keeps track of how far I've run or walked (very helpful for planning long runs) and easily interfaces with my computer via USB. While I have no interest whatsoever in posting to social networking sites how far I've run, it seems like a lot of people might appreciate those features. My only beef is with the instructions, which could be a bit easier to understand, but with enough fiddling the device is easy enough to figure out.
